Our Director of Tailoring, Colin Kippin has been back in the saddle. This was Colin’s final challenge for 2018. He arranged a charity bike ride in conjunction with some of his indoor bowls club members, for Havens Hospice.
The challenge involved a 25 mile cross country ride in the wooded grounds of Hylands Park in Chelmsford. Colin roped in a few extra riders for this event from his other passion of indoor bowls. Colin tells me that the weather was great but a little chilly and that the wet leaves were a lot of fun. However all of the riders made it back safe and sound.
Colin said “I’m off now for a winter break but I have lots planned for 2019. I might sign up for the Summer Solstice Ride, which sets off from London and you ride 100 miles overnight. So that would be something a bit different for me”.
In total Colin and his team raised £500 for Havens Hospice. The whole of SchemeServe team would like to congratulate Colin on his outstanding efforts this year, raising money for some worthy charities. We look forward to following him during his adventures in 2019.
