Job Description

We are looking for an excellent Technical Trainer to help our employees and clients cultivate their skills and knowledge. You will provide complete training on our software both internally and externally, and share your expertise in ways that motivate others.

You must be an experienced educator (ideally with experience in the insurance industry), with organisational skills up to the armpits and a positive attitude!

The goal is to promote efficiency and competitive advantage by developing the skills of the SchemeServe team, and our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with managers to determine internal and external training needs
  • Schedule and run training sessions
  • Design effective training programs and supporting documentation
  • Conduct seminars, workshops, individual training sessions etc.
  • Prepare educational material such as module summaries, videos etc.
  • Support and mentor new employees
  • Keep attendance and other records
  • Manage training budgets
  • Conduct evaluations to identify areas of improvement
  • Monitor employee performance and response to training

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Corporate/Technical Trainer
  • Understanding of effective teaching methodologies and tools
  • Willingness to keep abreast of new techniques incorporate or technical teaching
  • Proficient in MS Office (esp. PowerPoint); e-learning software is an asset
  • Phenomenal communication, presentation and public speaking skills
  • Organisational and time management abilities
  • Critical thinking and decision making

Nice to have

  • Understanding of the insurance industry/terminology and concepts
  • Experience working within a SaaS company
