SchemeServe continues planned recruitment drive amidst Covid-19

Insurance Software Provider adds senior UX Designer and additional UI Web Developer to the Team

15th April 2020: SchemeServe, a leading cloud-based provider of insurance software, has today announced the appointment of Suniel Makh as UX (User Experience) Designer and Marc Randall as a front-end UI (User Interface) Web Developer.

The two appointments come as part of SchemeServe’s ongoing growth plans and recruitment drive announced earlier this year.

Suniel Makh is a talented and highly experienced UX designer. At SchemeServe he will primarily be responsible for helping the team to design and shape unique, exciting new user-centric insurance products and experiences for its broker and insurer clients, and to ensure best practice UX is implemented as well as modernising and enhancing functionality.

He joins from ICELOLLY.COM, where he spent 11 years as one of its Directors, building the company from start-up to achieving £3.8m EBITDA. As its UX Director, Suniel was responsible for the entire UX process across multiple platforms and devices from research and insight, concept, design, testing and delivery.

Suniel is also an experienced coach and mentor with advanced qualifications as a certified Master Coach and Mentor, NLP Practitioner, Life coach and Hypnotherapist. SchemeServe employees will also benefit from access to one-on-one sessions with Suniel to support their mental health and wellbeing.

Marc Randall joins SchemeServe as a front-end UI Web Developer. Liaising with the back end, UI and UX teams, he will be responsible for building front end responsive interfaces for the insurance schemes on the SchemeServe platform. Marc joins with seven years’ experience of front-end and full stack web developer and graphic design experience including three years at MDR Web Solutions.

SchemeServe has continued its planned recruitment drive since it announced its growth targets at the start of the year. It has more than doubled its headcount in 12 months due to the continued demand from the industry for innovative cloud-based insurance software solutions, particularly for delegated authority schemes business. The SchemeServe platform enables clients to launch bespoke insurance products in a matter of days and at a fraction of the cost of the big software houses, without sacrificing on flexibility, customisation or user experience.

Adam Bishop, Founder and CEO of SchemeServe comments: “The impact of Covid-19 notwithstanding, the insurance industry is increasingly recognising that it needs to modernise. No longer just the preserve of big players with sizable IT budgets, robust innovation must be made accessible across the sector. It’s no surprise that the efficiencies and accessibility of cloud-based solutions have more recently been accepted into the mainstream and our growth at SchemeServe is testament to that. Never before has the industry seen such demand for technology solutions capable of driving real practical change.

“Suniel’s appointment in particular is a key strategic hire that will give us highly creative and exciting UX capabilities. Brokers and insurers will recognise the huge leaps in intuitive design and seamless customer experience that can now be achieved through the SchemeServe platform. I’m delighted to welcome both Suniel and Marc to the rapidly expanding SchemeServe family.”
