We continuously strive for quality with our ISO accreditation

Another year has passed, and we’ve successfully gained our ISO 9001 (2015) accreditation. But what does this mean exactly?

ISO 9001 is an internationally recognized quality ‘kitemark’ demonstrating that the organisation has met stringent regulatory requirements and is focussed on meeting customer expectations and delivering customer satisfaction.

ISO 9001 is administered by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) in Switzerland. It’s based on seven quality management principles such as customer focus, leadership, process approach and relationship management to name but a few.

For the brokers we work with it gives assurance that we, as the software provider, consistently meet quality control and regulatory requirements.

While the ISO 9001 stamp of approval is commonplace for many companies right now (there are over one million organisations that have this accreditation internationally), we feel it’s vital to stress how important it is to choose a software provider that takes pride in getting the necessary accreditation to ensure that standards are met.

Reputation is everything and it can be taken away in the blink of an eye if you partner with a business that doesn’t take the most basic of standards seriously. This is why we’ll continue to ensure that we take every effort to go above and beyond maintaining the necessary standards needed every year.

SchemeServe now operates more than 200 schemes and £150million of gross written premium via its cloud-based platform. As a business, SchemeServe has always been passionate about service delivery and so we welcome these types of audits.

We understand that intermediaries’ IT systems are business critical and getting our ISO accreditation gives them the added assurance that we take compliance seriously and that they are in safe hands.

Not all businesses operate in this way and certainly not all software providers go out of their way to achieve or maintain the ISO 9001 standards. There are many questions you should ask your software provider before you partner with them to service your business. In our view asking whether they have an ISO 9001 accreditation is a very valid one indeed!
